The 1^st Senatorial District is located in the heart of Philadelphia. Center City, Brewerytown, Chinatown, and Fairmount are just some of the exciting and diverse neighborhoods that lie in the district.  Senator Larry Farnese has represented the 1st Senatorial district since 2009.

Elected in January 2009, Senator Larry Farnese has been a champion for economic development in Philadelphia. He wants to move Pennsylvania forward by improving education, healthcare and affordable housing.

Larry serves on the executive boards of The University of Pennsylvania’s Young Friends of the International House and Academy House Condominium. Larry is also on the advisory board of the Rebecca Davis Dance Company, and he is a member of NOW, NARAL, Liberty City Democratic Club and Liberty PA.
