Judy Schwank Endorsed by the Berks County Fraternal Order of Police
Reading, PA—On Wednesday, the Berks County Fraternal Order of Police Loge #71 notified the Judy Schwank of their unanimous endorsement of her candidacy for State Senate.
“I am humbled to receive this endorsement from the Berks County FOP,” said Schwank. “As County Commissioner, I earned a reputation for standing up for our police departments. During this time, I worked closely with many brave men and women on the force, and I developed the deepest admiration and respect for the job that they do.
“At times, standing up for our police meant making difficult decisions to ensure they always funded and that our streets were always protected, but making sure that our first responders have the resources they need was my duty as Commissioner.
“I look forward to working with the Berks Police Departments as a State Senator, and to continuing my role as an advocate for all that they do.”
Judy Schwank is a two-term Berks County Commissioner and the Democratic candidate for State Senate in the special election to replace Senator Mike O’Pake who passed away in December. The special election will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011.
